On June 10 Edward Nalbandian met the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain José Ignacio Carbajal Gárate (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of presenting the copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that the Ambassador will have his important contribution in the further development of friendly relations between Armenia and Spain.

Expressing gratitude for the reception Ambassador Carbajal Gárate assured that he will make best efforts at expanding Spanish-Armenian bilateral cooperation.

During the conversation Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Carbajal Gárate also discussed questions related to the activation of political dialogue, development of cooperation in the framework of international organizations, intensifying relations in spheres of trade and economy, educational and scientific exchange programs and improvement of cultural ties. In this context the sides stressed the importance of the upcoming visit of Edward Nalbandian to Madrid by the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain.
