On July 4 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia accepted the newly appointed Ambassador of Brazil to Armenia Edson Marinho Duarte Monteiro on the occasion of presenting the copies of his credentials.

Congratulating Ambassador Monteiro on his appointment, Minister Nalbandian pointed out that Armenia and Brazil have established warm and friendly relations, and expressed hope that the newly appointed Ambassador will have his contribution in the development of the cooperation between the two countries.

Expressing his gratitude for the congratulation Ambassador Monteiro stated that Brazil attaches great importance to the improvement of ties with Armenia and he will make his best efforts for expanding the collaboration in different areas.

During the meeting the sides also turned to the activation of the inter-parliamentary relations, expanding the legal framework between the two countries, periodical consultations between the two Foreign Ministries and the steps undertaken for the development of interaction in cultural and educational spheres.
