The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Philippines presented the copies of credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia

On August 22 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Philippines Alejandro Mosquera (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of presenting the copies of his credentials.

Congratulating Ambassador Mosquera upon his appointment, Minister Nalbandian stated that Armenia attaches great importance to the development of ties with the Republic of Philippines which is one of the leading countries in South-Eastern Asia.

The Minister also added that he has warm memories from his visit to Manila last year and his meetings with President Benigno Aquino III and Minister of Foreign Affairs Albert del Rosario. Edward Nalbandian expressed hope that the newly appointed Ambassador will have his important contribution to the development of relations between the two countries in the areas of expanding legal framework, stimulating trade and economic cooperation and deepening cultural ties.

Expressing his gratitude for the reception Ambassador Mosquera pointed out that despite the long distance between the countries he will make his best efforts to expand and improve Armenian-Philippine relations during the period of his mission.

During the meeting the sides discussed several questions concerning bilateral relations and issues of international agenda.
