Minister Nalbandian received the delegation of British MP’s

On September 16 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received a delegation of members of the UK House of Commons headed by the John Whittingdale, the Deputy Chair of the Armenian-British parliamentary friendship group.

Greeting the guests, Minister Nalbandian stated that recently the Armenian-British cooperation has experienced sensible activation and the Parliaments of the two countries have a serious impact on this process. As the Foreign Minister described, parliamentary diplomacy is another impetus for the development of ties and understanding between the two countries.

Minister Nalbandian said that he has warm memories from his visit to the United Kingdom and meetings in the British Parliament in May this year.

The British MP’s expressed their gratitude for the reception and stresses that they will continue their efforts for further development and enhancement of the relations between Armenia and the UK.

During the meeting questions concerning the foreign policy of Armenia were discussed. Upon the request of the guests Minister Nalbandian presented the steps of Armenia and the international community for the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. International and regional agenda issues were also touched upon.
