Minister of Foreign Affairs received the newly appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan

On October 5 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Gurbannazar Nazarov, the newly appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia, on the occasion of presenting the copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, Minister Nalbandian expressed confidence that Ambassador Nazarov will have a serious contribution in developing Armenian-Turkmen relations. Minister Nalbandian stressed that Armenia attaches great importance to the enhancement and development of cooperation with Turkmenistan and the visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov to Armenia upon the invitation of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan gave a new impetus to the bilateral relations. The Minister stated with satisfaction that the arrangements made during that visit are already being implemented.

Expressing gratitude for the reception Ambassador Nazarov assured that he will make his best efforts to provide progress in the cooperation between Armenia and Turkmenistan.

During the conversation the sides touched upon the session of the Armenian-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation and holding consultations between the Foreign Ministries of two countries.
