On October 14 Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received the newly appointed Permanent Representative of the IMF to Armenia Teresa Daban Sanchez on the occasion of presenting the appointment letter.

Congratulating the Permanent Representative upon the appointment Minister Nalbandian expressed confidence that during her tenure the productive cooperation between Armenia and IMF, which is a key institution in the international economic system, will continue. Minister Nalbandian also highly appreciated the comprehensive support by the International Monetary Fund to the economic reforms in Armenia since 1992.

Expressing gratitude for the reception Teresa Daban Sanchez noted that in the future as well the IMF will continue to support the development of Armenia and the implementation of programs in different areas by the Government of Armenia.

The sides also touched upon questions of further collaboration between Armenia and the IMF.
