Foreign Minister met the leadership of the Faculty of International Relations of Yerevan State University

On October 15 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian met the leadership of the faculty of International Relations of YSU- the Dean Gegham Petrosyan and the Heads of Chairs of the Faculty.

Greeting the guests Minister Nalbandian stated that the MFA attaches great importance to the training of qualified personnel and in this respect the cooperation between the Ministry and the Faculty are very important.

Expressing gratitude for the reception the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of YSU noted that in recent years the collaboration between the Foreign Ministry and the IR Faculty of Yerevan State University has experienced a great enhancement. As Dr. Gegham Petrosyan noted the lectures by the Foreign Minister for the first-year students of the Faculty have become traditional. He also underlined that the number of acting diplomats in the teaching staff of the Faculty has grown.

During the talk the sides stated with confidence that the majority of the students of Diplomatic School of the MFA are the alumni of the Faculty of International Relations.

During the meeting there was also an exchange of views concerning different dimensions of the foreign policy of Armenia and the Foreign Minister presented the Armenian approaches to the international agenda issues and problems. Minister Nalbandian also gave a detailed explanation of the efforts of Armenia and the international community towards the resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

During the discussion an arrangement was made to make the meetings periodical.
