On October 18 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met the newly appointed Head of the Delegation of the ICRC in Armenia. Congratulating Sara Eprecht upon the appointment, Minister Nalbandian wished her success in the new position.

Minister Nalbandian noted that Armenia highly appreciates the humanitarian activities of the ICRC and cooperation with it.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and the high assessment of the ICRC activities, Sara Eprecht assured that the Organization will continue its humanitarian activities.

Foreign Minister stated that the humanitarian support of the Organization concerning Nagorno-Karabakh issue deserves special praise particularly in the issues of the search of missing persons and return of war prisoners. In this respect Minister Nalbandian stressed the importance of the activation of the efforts towards the release of Hakob Injughlyan who is detained in Azerbaijan.

The Foreign Minister expressed willingness to further the cooperation of Armenia with the ICRC.
