Ambassador of Latvia presented the copies of credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia

On December 10 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Elita Gavele, the newly-appointed Ambassador of Latvia in Armenia (residence in Tbilisi) on the occasion of presenting the copies of credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador upon the appointment, Minister Nalbandian expressed satisfaction about the friendly relations and developing cooperation established between the two countries. The Minister expressed hope that the newly appointed Ambassador of Latvia will have an important contribution in enhancing Armenian-Latvian cooperation in different areas. Edward Nalbandian also expressed the support of the Foreign Ministry to the Ambassador during her mission.

Ambassador Gavele expressing gratitude for the reception and congratulations, stressed that Latvia attaches great importance to the deepening of comprehensive relations with Armenia and assured that she will spare no efforts for the further development of the cooperation.

During the meeting the sides also had an exchange of views concerning the agenda issues of bilateral partnership - the activation of political dialogue, improvement of inter-parliamentary and decentralized cooperation, deepening of trade and economic relations.

The sides also touched upon Armenia-EU relations and discussed issues of regional agenda.
