The Minister of Foreign Affairs received the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US and the Ambassadors of the US in the countries of the Southern Caucasus

On December 10 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Eric Rubin, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US, John Heffern, the United States Ambassador to Armenia, Richard Norland, the United States Ambassador to Georgia and Richard Morningstar, the United States Ambassador in Azerbaijan who are in Yerevan to participate in the meeting of the US Ambassadors in the countries of the Southern Caucasus.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Nalbandian stated with satisfaction that Armenia-US friendly partnership has entered a qualitatively new level in the recent years due to the common efforts and there are necessary conditions for their further development.

Expressing gratitude for the reception Eric Rubin noted that the Unites States attaches importance to the development of comprehensive cooperation with Armenia.

During the meeting the sides touched upon the steps undertaken towards the enhancement of Armenian-US partnership, summarized the results of the meeting of the US-Armenia Task Force held in Washington D.C. in November and stressed the importance of implementing the arrangements on visa facilitation. The sides also discussed the recent developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiation process and referred to issues of international and regional agenda.
