On January 27 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Yves Rossier, the Secretary of State of the Foreign Ministry of Switzerland, the current OSCE chairing country.

Welcoming the guest Minister Nalbandian stressed the importance of the initiatives of the OSCE Swiss Chairmanship which are directed at the enhancement of the effectiveness of the Organization's activities. The Minister also expressed Armenia’s support to the implementation of the OSCE agenda proposed by Switzerland.

The sides touched upon the upcoming visit of Didier Burkhalter, the President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, to Armenia in summer.

Edward Nalbandian presented to State Secretary Rossier the efforts of Armenia and international community towards the peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh issue and welcomed the approach of Swiss Chairmanship to support the mediating mission of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs towards the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
