On February 19 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the UK All Party Parliamentary Armenia Group headed by the Chairman of the group John Whittingdale.

The delegation also included other Members of the House of Commons- Stephen Pound, Mike Gapes, Harriett Baldwin, as well as Members of the House of Lords- Lord Faulkner and Baroness Hooper.

Welcoming the guests Minister Nalbandian highly appreciated the contribution of the UK Parliamentarians in development friendly relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom.

Expressing gratitude for the reception British Parliamentarians assured that they will continue their efforts for further enhancement of cooperation between Armenia and the United Kingdom.

During the meeting further steps towards development of Armenian-British relations and Armenia-EU cooperation were discussed. In this context the importance of inter-parliamentary partnership was underlined as an effective means for triggering the bilateral ties. The sides also touched upon the activities of the parliamentary friendship groups.

Minister Nalbandian presented to the guests Armenian foreign policy priorities, Armenian approaches concerning settlement of the number of international and regional issues as well as efforts of Armenia and the international community towards the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
