Armenian Foreign Minister received the NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegation

On March 27 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the delegation of the Political Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly headed by José Lello, Chairman of the Political Committee.

Welcoming the delegation the Foreign Minister positively assessed Armenia-NATO interaction noting that contacts in parliamentary format bring their important contribution to that.

During the meeting the sides discussed Armenia- EU cooperation and reforms implemented in Armenia.

The Foreign Minister informed the parliamentarians representing different countries about the Armenian approaches to the settlement of regional problems.

Upon the request of the guests Edward Nalbandian presented the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs towards the peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

During the conversation the sides had an exchange of views concerning several issues of regional and international agenda as well as on the Ukrainian crisis and ways for its settlement.

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian drew the attention of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegation to the difficult humanitarian situation caused by the armed attacks on the Armenian-populated Kessab region of Syria and underlined that the international community should not be a bystander with regard to such gross violations of human rights.
