On May 14 Minister Edward Nalbandian received Leidulv Namtvedt, the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Armenia (residence in Moscow), on the occasion of presenting copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador, Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that the Ambassador Namtvedt would have his contribution to the further development and deepening of the Armenian-Norwegian friendly relations.

Expressing gratitude for the reception Ambassador Namtvedt assured that he is determined to undertake practical steps for the expansion of bilateral cooperation.

The sides noted with satisfaction that in recent years there has been considerable dynamism in bilateral relations as there have been high-level mutual visits, activation of partnership in a number of fields.

During the meeting the sides discussed a number of issues concerning the deepening of cooperation in international organizations between the two states, expansion of the legal frameworks and that of trade and economic relations.

Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Namtved exchanged views on regional issues.
