The meeting between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Argentina

On July 6 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is in Buenos Aires within the delegation headed by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, met his Argentinean counterpart Héctor Marcos Timerman.

Ministers Nalbandian and Timerman expressed confidence that official visit of President Serzh Sargsyan will inject a new impetus to the expansion of comprehensive cooperation in various areas.

During the meeting the Ministers recalled with warmth their meetings in Buenos Aires, Yerevan, in the frames of numerous international conferences and commended that the arrangements made during the above mentioned meetings are being implemented.

With respect to the development of bilateral relations, the Ministers attached importance to the role of the large Argentinean Armenian community.

Referring to the Armenian-Argentinean relations, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that the fact that the first Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Latin America was opened in Buenos Aires reflects the significance attached by Armenia to the development of cooperation with Argentina.

During the meeting the sides discussed bilateral agenda issues, exchanged views over the strengthening of cooperation within the international organizations, touched upon the international issues.
