Minister of Foreign Affairs received the Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland

On September 16 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Tomasz Orlowski, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland, who arrived in Yerevan to hold consultations between the Foreign Ministries.

Welcoming the guest Minister Nalbandian highly appreciated Armenian-Polish relations and said that the official visit of the President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski to Armenia in 2011, and the official visit of President Serzh Sargsyan to Poland in 2013 were important. He noted that these visits fueled the development and expansion the bilateral relations.

Expressing gratitude for the reception Deputy Foreign Minister Orlowski noted that this is his first foreign visit in the capacity of Deputy Foreign Minister. He stated that Poland considers Armenia as an important partner and wishes to further deepen and enhace multidimensional cooperation.

During the conversation the sides stressed the importance of expanding the legal framework, enhancing cooperation in the framework of international organizations, deepening ties and partnership in the areas of trade, economy, education and culture.

At the meeting the sides exchaned views on Armenia-EU relations and cooperation in the framework of Eastern Partnership program.

Upon the request of the guest Minister Nalbandian presented the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair States aimed at the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

The sides also touched upon a number of issues of regional and international agenda.
