Meetings of Edward Nalbandian in New York

On September 27 Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Czech Republic Lubomír Zaorálek. The two discussed the process of the realization of the agreements, reached during the state visit of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan to the Czech Republic earlier this year. Interlocutors noted the importance of joint efforts, aimed at strengthening of the legal framework, development of the inter parliamentary, decentralized ties, expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. They touched upon Armenia - European Union relations.

Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic accepted the invitation to visit Armenia.

On the same day Edward Nalbandian received the delegation of the American Jewish Committee. Minister Nalbandian praised the April statement by the American Jewish Committee, which recognized and condemned the Genocide committed against Armenians in the Ottoman Empire. Edward Nalbandian noted importance of the joint international efforts, aimed at condemnation and prevention of crimes against humanity.

The participants of the meeting exchanged views on ongoing processes in the South Caucasus, the Middle East and a number of international issues.
