Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with the Prime Minister of Egypt Ibrahim Mahlab on the sidelines of the summit of the International Organisation of Francophonie in Dakar.

The steps towards further activisation of the relations between Armenia and Egypt, organisation of high level visits, encouragement in interactions in the fields of education and science were discussed during the meeting.

The Prime Minister of Egypt informed Foreign Minister of Armenia about the reopening of the Department of Armenian Studies at Cairo University.

The sides exchanged views on the processes taking place in the Middle East.
