On December 9, 2014 Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Lebanon, Ashot Kocharian was received by Maronite Patriarch, His Beatitude Moran Mor Bechara Boutros al-Rahi.

Patriarch Bechara Boutros Rahi thanked Armenian Apostolic Church for invitation to visit Armenia next year and expressed his solidarity with Armenian people on the eve of centennial of the Armenian Genocide.

The sides emphasized the high level of existing friendly relations between Armenia and Lebanon as well as important and constructive role of Armenian community of Lebanon in development of the country. Issues relating to internal political situations and regional development has been also touched upon at the meeting.
