On February 6, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met Foreign Minister of Egypt Sameh Shoukry.

During the meeting, the Ministers thoroughly discussed steps-to-be-undertaken towards the development of Armenian-Egyptian friendly relations, organization of high-level mutual visits, holding of consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs, strengthening of cooperation within international organizations.

The Foreign Minister of Egypt highly appreciated the role and input of the Armenian community in the development and prosperity of his country.

Sameh Shoukry presented efforts, exerted by the Government of Egypt, towards guaranteeing stability in the country, reforms, and preparatory works of the parliamentary elections.

The Ministers exchanged thoughts on the developments unfolded in the Middle East, steps, undertaken by the international community in the fight against terrorism.

Edward Nalbandian presented to the Egyptian counterpart Armenia’s stance on the regional issues and ways to resolve them.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia invited Sameh Shoukry to visit Armenia.
