Foreign minister Edward Nalbandian met with the Foreign minister of Ethiopia Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

During the meeting the sides highlighted with satisfaction that historical, religious and cultural ties are the basis for the development of interstate relations. In that context the ministers discussed the possibilities of widening of bilateral cooperation as well as joint steps to be taken to that end.

The Foreign ministers of Armenia and Ethiopia attached importance to the development of political dialogue, the establishment of interparliamentary ties, strengthening the legal framework. The improvement of economic cooperation, the interaction within international organizations as well as cultural exchanges were also touched upon.

The Foreign ministers of Armenia and Ethiopia touched upon a wide range of international and regional issues.
