The newly-appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates handed over the copies of credentials to the Foreign Minister of Armenia

On February 13, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the newly-appointed Ambassador of United Arab Emirates to Armenia Jassim Mohammed Al Qasimi on the occasion of handing over his copies of credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on the appointment and highly evaluating the established relations between the two friendly states and peoples, Minister Nalbandian welcomed the establishment of the Emirates’s Embassy in Yerevan, which, according to him, will give a new impetus to the bilateral cooperation. Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that the newly-appointed Ambassador will bring his valuable contribution in the deepening and enhancing of the bilateral relations.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and good wishes, Ambassador Al Qasimi stressed that the establishment of the Embassy in Yerevan shows the importance which Emirates gives to the development of the cooperation with Armenia in various fields and assured that will do the utmost for the strengthening of the relations.

The sides touched upon the activation of the political dialogue, the expansion of trade relations, cooperation in international organizations, strengthening of legal framework, holding of periodic consultations between Foreign Ministries.
