Concert in Canada dedicated to Centennial of Armenian Genocide

On March 1, a concert dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide was organized in Toronto, in cooperation with the Embassy of Armenia in Canada. The concert, named “In Remembrance”, was organized in Mazzoleni Hall of Toronto Royal Conservatory. Famous Amici Ensemble and well-known Grammy Award-winning violist Kim Kashkashian perfomed at the concert.

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia Yervand Zakharyan, who is on a working visit in Canada, honored the concert with his presence.

In his speech Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Canada Armen Yeganian presented the commemorative events dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, that are taking place in Armenia, Canada and elsewhere and underlined the importance of recognition and condemnation of Mets Yeghern in order to prevent the recurrence of such crimes against humanity in the future.
