The launch of the events in the framework of the Centennial of Armenian Genocide in Lyon

On March 10, with an exhibition, entitled “Aleppo 1915…” by photograph Khojak Ohanyan (sponsored by the City Hall of Lyon, in cooperation with the Consulate General of Armenia in Lyon) start was done to scheduled events, dedicated to the Centennial of Armenian Genocide, under the title “Memory and justice”. Lyon public library, Bullukian Foundation and Décines the National Center for Armenian Memory are among the organizers of the exhibition.

First Deputy Mayor of Lyon Georges Kepenekian, Deputy Mayor for historical heritage, memory and V eterans affairs Jean-Dominique Durand, President of Bullukian Foundation Jean-Pierre Claverrane, Julle Martirosyan delivered welcoming speeches at the exhibition.

Inspired with the story of her father, survived the genocide, Lyon Armenian photographer’s works depict Aleppo, at the same time presenting different philosophers and historians’ thoughts.

The exhibition is open by May 16 in the hall of Bullukian Foundation.
