On March 17, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received members of the Preparatory Committee for the 31st Ministerial Conference of Francophonie, which will take place in Armenia in autumn, led by Special Envoy of the General Secretary of the International Organisation of La Francophonie Countries Ousmane Paye.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Nalbandian stressed, that it is a great honour for Armenia, an active member of the Francophone family, and at the same time great responsibility to host delegations from 80 states on the occasion of the Ministerial Conference of Francophonie. Edward Nalbandian expressed hope, that the Ministerial Conference will be organized and held on the high level through close cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Secretariat of International Organisation of La Francophonie.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, representatives of the Committee assured that they would spare no effort to contribute to Armenia in ensuring the good organization and successful session of the Conference.

The sides discussed preparatory works of the Ministerial Conference.

At the end of the meeting, Edward Nalbandian and Ousmane Paye signed a Memorandum of Understanding "Between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and International Organisation of La Francophonie on the holding of the 31st Ministerial Conference of Francophonie".
