Foreign Minister received members of Armenia-European Union Parliamentary Cooperation Committee

On March 20, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received members of Armenia-European Union Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, headed by Co-Chair Sajjad Karim.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that the current cooperation between the National Assembly of Armenia and European Parliament ranks high in Armenia-EU relations. "This week was exhaustive with the European agenda, be it in the framework of executive or legislative branches, and it shows the high level of Armenia-European Union cooperation."

During the meeting, views were exchanged on RA-EU relations' future legal framework.

Minister Nalbandian attached importance to the EU-Armenia Agreements on Visa Facilitation and Readmission, entered into force from January 2014, successful realization of which pave the way to the liberalization of the visa regime.

On the request of the guest, Edward Nalbandian presented regional issues and Armenia's approaches to solve them.
