On March 21, commemorative event dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide was held in Baden-Württemberg land museum – Karlsruhe palace. The event was organized by Karlsruhe City Council, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in the Baden-Wuertenberg Guenter Pilarsky, Central Council of Armenians in Germany and German Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

The event was opened with candle lighting ceremony and prayer served by the leader of the German Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Garegin Bekchyan in front of the castle.

Deputy Mayor of Karlsruhe Yan Qoyflyan and Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Armenia to Germany Ashot Smbatyan delivered welcoming messages. Professor at Bochum University Mihran Dabag delivered speech.

Armenian Violinist from Germany Ani Aghabekyan and opera singer Hrachuhi Basenc performed works by Komitas, Babajanyan, Rachmaninoff.
