On April 2, Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimian received Ambassador Marriët Schuurman, NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security.

The sides attached importance to the continuation of current dialogue on the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSRC 1325) in the frameworks of Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) 2014-2016.

The Deputy Foreign Minister presented the processes in Armenia directed towards guaranteeing of equal rights and equal opportunities of men and women, the national strategy on the protection of human rights, attached significance to Armenia's participation in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan, Kosovo and Lebanon.
