Parliament of São Paulo declared April 24 as Day of commemoration of victims of the Armenian Genocide

On April 8, the largest state of Brazil São Paulo adopted resolution N1266/2014, by which April 24 is declared “Day of recognition of the Armenian Genocide and commemoration of victims”. Resolution was drafted by the Member of Parliament Pedro Tobias.

Information. São Paulo is the largest state of Federative Republic of Brazil, with population of 44 million people (20 percent of Brazil’s population). The state has 645 municipal entities. São Paulo state is the largest administrative entity in South America.
