Event dedicated to the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide in the State of Kuwait

On April 16, Ambassador of Armenia in the State of Kuwait Fadey Charchoghlyan participated at the event dedicated to the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide at Armenian National College of Kuwait; Primate of Diocese Kuwait Very Reverend Masis Zopuyan, representatives of the Armenian national structures of Kuwait, politicians, public figures, diplomats and journalists were also in attendance.

In his opening remarks, Very Reverend Masis Zopuyan expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Armenia and personally the Ambassador, for staying beside the Armenian community and efficient contribution.

Speeches were followed by the recitation and singing solo and group performances by school’s students of different age groups, patriotic and folk songs were performed, excerpts from the works of great poets Paruyr Sevak and Hovhannes Shiraz were sounded.

Participants of the event, led by Ambassador Charchoghlyan and Very Reverend Masis Zopuyan, laid flowers at the symbolic Eternal Flame, dedicated to the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide; candle-lighting ceremony followed.
