Exhibition dedicated to the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide in Minsk

On April 16, an exhibition dedicated to the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide was organized by the Embassy of Armenia in Belarus, in cooperation with Armenian community, at Friendship House of Minsk, Belarus. Works by Belarusian Armenian painters and sculptors Grigor Danielyan, Levon Darbinyan, Armen Sardarov, Spartak Harutyunyan and Hripsime Gevorgyan were exhibited.

The Ambassadors accredited to Belarus, politicians and public figures, diplomats, representatives of the Armenian community and journalist were in attendance.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador of Armenia to Belarus Armen Khachatryan reflected on Genocide, committed by the Turks against Armenian people in the Ottoman Empire 100 years ago. The Ambassador mentioned that the creative nation, which lives by intellectual values, faith and desire to live, can not be annihilated. He expressed gratitude to all those who shares grief of the Armenian people.

President of Belarus-Armenia Friendship Society Naum Galperovich also delivered message.

Photographs of picturesque places of Western Armenia, monuments of Armenian architecture, education centers, cultural heritage and those on the Armenian Genocide were introduced at the exhibition.
