Ambassador Ghazaryan handed over his credentials to the President of Slovenia

On 16 April, newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Slovenia (residence in Rome) handed over his credentials to President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor. The official meeting ceremony at the Presidential Palace was followed by the handing over of credentials and meeting with the President of Slovenia. President Pahor requested to convey his warm greetings to the President Serzh Sargsyan. Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment President Pahor expressed hope that he will put his efforts to strengthen and develop Armenian-Slovenian relations.

Ambassador Sargis Ghazaryan, in his turn, underlined that Armenian-Slovenian relations have great potential and that he will spare no efforts in boosting them. The Ambassador presented to President of Slovenia essence and content of the events on the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide. Ambassador Ghazaryan briefed President Pahor on efforts exerted by OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and Armenia towards peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. Pressing regional issues were also reflected on.
