On April 28, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo.

Edward Nalbandian thanked Anne Hidalgo for visiting Yerevan on April 24 within the delegation, headed by the President of France, to partake in commemorative events on the Armenian Genocide Centenary.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia expressed gratitude to the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo for contribution to organization of numerous commemorative events in Paris; for important decision to turn the lights of Eiffel Tower off in the evening of April 24 to mark the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide; for participation in commemorative events; for hosting of an exhibition dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centenary at the Hôtel de Ville.

Edward Nalbandian and Anne Hidalgo reflected on issues of cooperation between sister-cities Yerevan and Paris.

At the end of the meeting Anne Hidalgo awarded Edward Nalbandian with “La médaille de la Ville de Paris” for considerable input in the development of cooperation between Yerevan and Paris and that of the Armenian-French relations.
