Presentation of a book on Armenian Genocide in Beijing

On April 29, presentation of a book on Armenian Genocide ''Like water on Stone'' by American-Armenian writer Dana Walrath was held at Beijing’s Bookworm library, in the framework of events dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centenary.

Politicians and public figures, diplomats, Chinese philologists and journalists attended the event. 

Telling about the motives to write ''Like water on Stone'' Dana Walrath thoroughly presented the atrocities committed in the Ottoman Turkey in the turn of the twentieth century. Walrath attached importance to shed light on the Armenian Genocide through art and literature. Afterwards, the author answered various questions of the attendees.

In upcoming days Dana Walrath will also present her book at other institutions in Beijing.

Information: “Like Water on Stone” novel tells the story of fourteen-year-old twins, Shahen and Sosi, who to survive the genocide flee into the mountains with the help of magical Eagle, when mass killings of Armenians in Ottoman Empire begin.
