Photo exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in the UN Headquarters

On May 4, the official opening of the photo exhibition entitled “The Last World War: Remembering for Peace” was launched at the United Nations Headquarter in New York, on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Representatives of UN member states and international organizations, UN officials, media personnel and guests were in the attendance.

Co-organized by the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the UN, the exhibition features different episodes of the Second World War; photos of people distinguished themselves by heroism and bravery at the battlefield and by daily hard work in the home front. The Armenian part of the exhibition showcases USSR hero, Marshal Bagramyan, the Manouchian group of the French Resistance and the Sassuntsi-Davit Tank Regiment.
