On May 18, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ashot Hovakimian received UN Special Rapporteur Maud de Boer-Buquicchio.

During the meeting the UN Special Rapporteur presented issues and challenges revealed in the field of protection of children’s right as a result of her visit. The process of legislative reforms was touched upon.

Welcoming the guest, Deputy Foreign Minister mentioned that the field of protection of children’s rights is always under the attention of Armenia’s government, given special concern for the children. He touched upon the works undertaken in the country in this direction, attaching significance to the activities conducted within international commitments.
