On May 22, Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimian received Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate of the United Mexican States Gabriela Cuevas Barron.

During the meeting the sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, stressed the necessity of expansion and strengthening of cooperation in a number of areas. Ashot Hovakimian thoroughly presenting Armenia’s stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement process, reflected on other regional issues of importance for Armenia.

Gabriela Cuevas Barron mentioned that her country is interested in the establishment of closer ties with Armenia and assured, that she will be actively engaged in this process.
