"Doors Open Ottawa" project at the embassy of Armenia to Canada

On June 5, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Canada participated in annual “Doors Open Ottawa”. In the framework of the project many cultural, historical and municipal buildings open their doors to the public, including several embassies.

The Armenian Embassy in Canada has been involved in this event for the last few years. The building, built in 1908, is included in the list of heritage buildings of Ottawa and has previously housed the diplomatic representations of Uruguay and Hungary.

The Embassy had hundreds of visitors, who got acquainted with the architecture and history of the building, had a chance to learn about Armenian culture, values and history. Visitors were presented in details Armenia, Armenian arts and the role of cross-stones and churches in the Armenian architecture.
