Edward Nalbandian received the Director International Security Policy of Defence Ministry of the United Kingdom

On July 1, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Nick Gurr, the Director International Security Policy of the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian stressed that Armenia attaches importance to the development of cooperation with the United Kingdom in various spheres, and expressed satisfaction with the continuous political dialogue.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Nick Gurr said that the aim of his visit is to get to know the processes in the region and approaches regarding them from the first hand.
The sides exchanged views on Armenia - NATO cooperation. The Director International Security Policy of the Ministry of Defence of the UK highly commended Armenia’s participation in peacekeeping missions in different countries.

During meeting views were exchanged on several pressing international and regional issues.

Minister Nalbandian presented to the guest the efforts of Armenia and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries towards the peaceful resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh issue. In this context Foreign Minister of Armenia drew the attention of the senior representative of the Defence Ministry of the UK on the Azerbaijani provocative, bellicose rhetoric, gross violations of ceasefire on the contact line with Artsakh and border with Armenia by Azerbaijani armed forces.
