On August 9 the ceremony of enthronement of the newly elected Catholicos Patriarch of House of Cilicia of Armenian Catholic Church Krigor Bedros XX took place in the courtyard of Bzommar Monastery.

Ambassador of Armenia in Lebanon Ashot Kocharian, Catholicos of Great House of Cilicia Aram I, representative of Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Karegin II archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, representatives of Congregation of Eastern Churches of Holy See, Papal Nuncio in Lebanon, Armenian and foreign high ranking clergymen, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, ministers, members of parliament, high ranking military officials and community leaders were present at the ceremony. After assuming patriarchal throne Catholicos Patriarch Krigor Bedros XX offered his first Holy Mass. In his speech Catholicos Patriarch expressed his gratitude to the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, Catholicos of All Armenians and Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia for their support and assured that he would spare no effort for strengthening close cooperation with Armenian authorities, Etchmiadzin and Antelias.

Holy Mass was followed by a dinner, during which many congratulatory letters addressed to the newly elected Catholicos Patriarch were presented. Ambassador Kocharian read the congratulatory letter of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
