Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received newly appointed Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)

On August 27, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Tanja Radocaj, newly appointed Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Office in Armenia.

Welcoming the guest, Edward Nalbandian commended the activities of the UNICEF in Armenia over the last two decades, mentioning that during these years the Fund’s Yerevan Office established productive cooperation with the Government of Armenia, state and public institutions which facilitates effective implementation of various projects for children.

Thanking for the reception and for the high appreciation of UNICEF activities, Tanja Radocaj expressed hope that projects drafted together with the government of Armenia will be further successfully implemented, thus promoting children’s rights and improving the quality of healthcare and increasing the quality of education.

Minister Nalbandian reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia to cooperate closely with the UNICEF Office on the issues of ensuring the continuation of the current projects, preparation and realization of new ones; and pledged all-out assistance to Tanja Radocaj in her mission. Thoughts were exchanged over different issues of cooperation between Armenia and the United Nations Children's Fund.
