Edward Nalbandian received French MPs

On September 3 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the MPs of the National Socialist faction of France, headed by Mr. Bruno Le Roux, president of the faction.

Welcoming the MPs Minister Nalbandian appreciated their contribution to the development of the Armenian-French privileged relations.

Minister Nalbandian attached special importance to the French MPs' scheduled visit to Artsakh, noting that it gives an opportunity to get acquainted with the situation and developments on the ground.

Expressing gratitude for the welcome the MPs assured that they will continue their activity aimed at consolidation and deepening of Armenian and French peoples' cooperation.

During the meeting a reference was made to the future development of Armenian-French cooperation in various areas, to the activities of parliamentary friendship groups, as well as to the problems of regional and international importance.

At the guests’ request Minister Nalbandian presented the commemorative events of the Armenian Genocide Centennial and their message highlighting especially the role of France in terms of the recognition and condemnation of the Genocide as well as in the fight against denial. In this context, Armenia's Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude for the respectable delegation's participation headed by the President of France in the commemorative events of the Armenian Genocide Centennial on April 24 in Yerevan.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia also presented to the French MPs the process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement as well as the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in that direction.
