Armenian Foreign Minister continues the meetings in London

On September 10 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian had a meeting in London with John Whittingdale, UK Secretary of State for Culture and Media. Edward Nalbandian appreciated Whittingdale's activity in the previous session of the House of Commons as the head of the British-Armenian all-party parliamentary friendship group highlighting that during his tenure the Armenian-British parliamentary links have actively developed.

Minister Nalbandian expressed his gratitude to John Whittingdale for his presence in Yerevan on April 24 to participate in the events of the Armenian Genocide Centennial.
 
During the meeting reference was made to the possibility of the Armenian-British cooperation expansion, both sides stressed the significance of the representation of the Armenian cultural heritage in the United Kingdom. In that context reference was made to the realization of joint projects.
 
In London Edward Nalbandian visited the Parliament of the United Kingdom, where he had a meeting with Caroline Cox and Henry Harrison, the members of the House of Lords. During the meeting issues related to the cooperation of the Armenian-British Parliaments as well as the works of the formation of the new group of the British-Armenian all-party parliamentary friendship were discussed.
 
On the same day Edward Nalbandian met with the members of the Committee coordinating the events of the Armenian Genocide Centennial in the United Kingdom, who presented their implemented and planned activities.
 
Thoughts were exchanged about the events dedicated to the commemorations of the Armenian Genocide Centennial in Armenia and worldwide. Reference was made to the preparatory works of the forthcoming ecumenical ceremony dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial that will be held in the Westminster Abbey, London.
