Newly-appointed Head of the EU delegation to Armenia handed over copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister of Armenia

On September 17, the newly-appointed Head of the EU delegation to Armenia Piotr Switalsky handed over copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished success to him, expressing hope that the Head of the EU delegation will contribute to the deepening and expansion of multi-dimensional cooperation between Armenia and the European Union during his mission.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and well wishes Piotr Switalsky mentioned that he arrived in Armenia with the warmest feelings and positive agenda, and assured that he would spare no effort for the further strengthening of partnership.

At the meeting the process of implementation of agreements reached during the visit of the President of the European Council Donald Tusk to Armenia, wide range of cooperation issues of Armenia and the European Union were discussed.

The sides expressed hope, that the talks on a new legal document between Armenia and the EU will kick off in the near future, that will give a new impetus to the relations.

Minister Nalbandian presented to the newly-appointed Ambassador the events, held on the Centennial of the Armenian genocide and their message.

During the meeting, the sides touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement process.
