Edward Nalbandian participated in the meeting of Foreign Ministers of member countries of the International Organization of La Francophonie

On September 26, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian participated in the Foreign Ministers’ meeting of the member countries of the International Organization of La Francophonie, organized by the Presidency of Senegal in New York within the framework of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.

Referring to the OIF 31st Ministerial Conference starting in Yerevan in two weeks, Edward Nalbandian presented the issues included in the agenda of the meeting and noted that Armenia is pleased to host such a prestigious and representative international conference.

In his speech, Edward Nalbandian touched upon the prevention of crimes against humanity, the settlement of conflicts, the fight against intolerance and xenophobia, the recent intensification of migration flaws, as well as the summit on climate change which will be held in Paris at the end of this year.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia outlined that delegations of around 80 member and observer states are expected to participate in the Foreign Ministers’ Conference in Yerevan and expressed hope that the meeting in Yerevan would greatly contribute to the strengthening of the Organization and enhancement of its role in the international arena.
