Political consultations between Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Poland

On September 30, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Poland were held in Warsaw. The Armenian and Polish delegations were headed respectively by Garen Nazarian, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, and Konrad Pawlik, Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland.

During the consultations a wide range of issues on the development of the Armenian-Polish relations was discussed, including the deepening of political consultations and intensification of inter-parliamentary ties. Upon the request of the Polish diplomat, Garen Nazarian presented the consequences of recent aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan. The sides touched upon the other developments in the region, as well as the importance of enlargement of the Armenia - European Union relations and cooperation of the two countries within international organizations.

Deputy Foreign Ministers discussed the dynamically developing bilateral cultural partnership. Within the framework of consultations the Action plan on Cooperation between the Governments of Armenia and Poland in the fields of culture, education and science was signed.

In Warsaw Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia also had a meeting with Gražina Henclewska, Co-Chair of the Armenian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy of Poland. During the meeting the interlocutors discussed steps aimed at the intensification of bilateral economic relations.

On the same day Garen Nazarian and his Polish counterparts participated in the concert and reception on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of Independence of Armenia organized by the Embassy of Armenia in Poland.
