On October 9, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Congo Jean-Claude Gakosso.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that it was his pleasure to meet in Yerevan after the meeting in New York two weeks ago and to continue discussions on the development of bilateral ties.

Minister Gakosso expressed gratitude for the warm reception and stressed that during his education in Leningrad he enjoyed the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the Armenian people and now was very glad to represent his country in Yerevan at this very special for the francophone family event.

During the conversation, agreement was reached upon to establish legal framework, tighten collaboration within international institutions.

Congo Foreign Minister presented the developments unfolding in Africa, priorities of his state's foreign policy and economic and investment opportunities.
