Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Burkina Faso

On October 11, Edward Nalbandian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, met his counterpart Bedializoun Moussa Nebie, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Burkina Faso.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that Armenia attached importance to the development of ties with the states of the African continent and would undertake steps in this direction. The Minister recalled with warmth his participation at the OIF Summit in Ouagadougou in 2006.

Burkina Faso FM thanked for the high-level of organization of the OIF Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, and stressed that his visit to Armenia is aimed at reaching agreement upon the development of bilateral ties.

At the meeting, the Ministers touched upon opportunities of the development of cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields. In this regard, significance was placed to the formation of the legal framework.

Edward Nalbandian presented the message of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and Armenia’s initiatives and efforts in the prevention of crimes against humanities.
