The purpose of the meeting, held under the presidency of Thomas Mayr-Harting, the newly-appointed Director of the European External Action Service (EEAS), was to discuss steps ensuing from the results of the EaP Riga Summit and the review process of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP).

Deputy FM attached significance to the fostering of cooperation between various integration processes.

During the meeting, latest developments in Armenia-European Union cooperation were reflected on, including the forthcoming negotiations between Yerevan and Brussels on new legal document and issues of Armenia’s joining to a range of EU projects.
