On December 3, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, participating in the activities of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Belgrade, had a meeting with Herbert Salber, EU special representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia.

During the meeting Edward Nalbandian and Herbert Salber discussed the process of peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and within that context stressed the importance of high-level dialogue between the parties.

Harbert Salber reaffirmed the EU support to the efforts of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs aimed at exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

During the meeting the parties discussed Armenia-EU relations and emphasized the importance of the launch of negotiations upon a new legal basis for cooperation between Armenia and the EU in the coming days.
